The guidelines for the sustainable development of tourism and sustainable management practices apply to all
forms of tourism in all types of destinations, including mass tourism and the various segments of our activity.
Sustainability principles are tied to environmental, economic and sociocultural aspects of tourism development, and the right balance should be achieved in the three dimensions to ensure long-term sustainability.
1. Make the best use of environmental resources, which are a key driver of tourism development, maintaining essential ecological processes and helping to preserve natural resources and biological diversity.
2. Respect the sociocultural authenticity of host communities, preserve their cultural and architectural assets and traditional values, and contribute to intercultural understanding and tolerance.
3. 3. Ensure viable long-term economic activities that bring well-distributed socioeconomic benefits to all stakeholders, including stable employment and income-earning opportunities and social services for host communities, and contributing to poverty reduction.
